I'm having a hard time doing pretty much everything today. I can't decide what to write, can't decide what to make for dinner, can't stand the whining of the childrens anymore. In my mother's words, "You should probably go do something for yourself this weekend before you go all "Lizzy Borden" on your family." Thanks mom.
The kids are getting tired of the home-cooked meals I make for dinner and have been begging for McDonalds or Burger King. It's not like I'm a terrible cook. That's the one thing I will toot my own horn about. I'm a damn good cook! I even try to find kid-friendly recipes to make, but alas, the childrens doth protest.
For instance, Monday night we had homemade mini pizzas. The kids had a blast playing with the dough and picking out their own toppings.
Tuesday night we had Squidogs. I use turkey dogs. Again, the kids love them, I on the other hand could take them or leave them. I've never been much of a hot dog person.
Wednesday night I decided we needed to have a more adult-type meal so I made my own version of Chicken with Twenty Cloves of Garlic. Bubba loves it. Pickles chooses to just eat the spaghetti and the sauce.
As for tonight I'm at a loss. I don't feel like cooking. I tried to mooch dinner off of my grandmother but she has singing practice tonight. Mother usually doesn't have anything I like so that's out of the question.
And my eyes hurt. And my sinuses are blocked up. And I can't watch Mr. Rogers because he makes my left leg hurt...
Blah....blah....blah....

So what did you finally concoct in the cauldron for the kiddies to eat?
Nothing. We went to Tina's for pizza.
